The tonal design of Opus 126 is strongly influenced by the French Romantic School. Pipe construction, materials, and voicing techniques follow closely in the tradition of Aristide Cavaillé-Coll’s late work. The splendid acoustics of St. Paul’s, designed by Dana Kirkegaard of Kirkegaard Acoustics, Inc., are the perfect environment for an instrument in this style.
